Frequently asked questions
When someone else handles your mail, one of the first things that may come to mind is: is your data safe?
At Address Rental, we are built on trust and want to help people live more freely. We want to alleviate the shackles created by the traditional home and residential address.
This is also the business of Address Rentals, so it is in no way in our interest to damage trust, and indeed the whole business, by spying on your or someone else's private information.
Secondly, we process hundreds of letters a week and the process goes like this:
- Letters arriving at the address rental service are bundled
- The letters that are sent to the address book are opened
- They are then put into a scanner, which does not produce accurate images but sketches that you can't even really make out at this point
- Then the letters are put in a secure compartment to await the customer's acknowledgement.
- Finally, once the customer has acknowledged receipt of the email, the letters are destroyed in the paper shredder and the scan files are also destroyed
At Address Rental, the mail may be sorted by someone else, but the letters are opened by me, Address Rental's entrepreneur and currently only employee, Jarkko Haverinen.

The credit card will be charged once a month with one month's notice.
The one-time fee goes to that one time.
After the address change, your mail will be delivered to your Osoitevuokraus mailbox. They will then be distributed to each individual box. The scanned mail will go through a scanning process, after which you will receive your scanned mail by email 2 x a month.
Very well. There may be difficulties in obtaining loans or financing. You may not be able to get loans or finance in the same way. And there may be an impact on services in some municipalities and cities. When you rent an address from Osoitevuokraus, your municipality of residence becomes Helsinki. Otherwise, you can live as normal.
The change of address is made to the DVV (Digital and population data service agency) at https://dvv.fi/en/individuals
When you order a postal address from Osoitevuokraus, you will get clear point-by-point video instructions on how to change your address correctly.
We will contact you before the expiry of the time-limited address package to confirm the situation.
There are occasions when you may receive confidential mail from a particular sender that you do not want anyone else to see.
In such a case, please notify us in advance and we will arrange for the pre-notified senders to be forwarded (additional service for a fee) or some other action to be taken.
